Chiltern Colonial Motor Inn is located in the heart of the north east Victorian fine wine and food region and the Chiltern Box Ironbark National Park.  Chiltern is a quaint historic town central to Rutherglen, Beechworth, Wangaratta and Albury-Wodonga.  Chiltern has been the location for a number of historic movies because of its authentic colonial appearance.

Chiltern is surrounded by the Chiltern Box Ironbark National Park (4320 ha).  The Park is home to over 200 species of birds including the Regent Honeyeater and Turquoise Parrot.
